Hourly & As-Directed Car Service
Keep a professional chauffeur and a luxury car on standby by the hour — for meetings, shopping, touring or a multi-stop day. You direct where it goes; we handle the driving, the waiting and the timing.
A car and chauffeur on standby
Reserve a block of hours and the vehicle stays with you the whole time, waiting between stops instead of vanishing back into traffic.
Go where you direct
Change the plan mid-day, add a stop or reorder the whole itinerary — you point, and the chauffeur handles the route, parking and timing.
Your bags never leave the car
Coats, shopping and briefcases stay in the vehicle between stops, so there is no hauling, no re-hailing and no re-explaining where you are headed.
Built for meeting-heavy days
A moving office for back-to-back appointments across the city, with the car staged at each door and the schedule held to the minute.
Flat hourly rates
Pricing is set by the hour and agreed up front with a sensible minimum — tolls and waiting time included, no meter and no surge.
From a solo sedan to a van for the whole group.
You keep the same chauffeur
The person who starts your day finishes it — no new driver to brief at every stop, and someone who learns your rhythm as the hours go by.
Waiting is the point
Most services want to drop you and move on. Ours is designed to wait, so the car is always there the moment you step back outside.
Flexible to the hour
Days run long. Extending is usually as simple as telling your chauffeur, and the up-front rate means no surprises when the day wraps.

Hourly / As-Directed
A car and chauffeur, for as long as your day needs
Some days do not fit into a single trip. You have three meetings in different neighborhoods, a lunch in between, and a dinner you might make or might not. Or you are showing a client around the city, or working through a long list of stops, or you simply want a car to be there every time you step outside without thinking about it. Hourly, as-directed car service is built for exactly those days: you keep a chauffeur and a car for a block of time, and you direct where it goes.
The model is simple. You reserve a number of hours, the car and chauffeur are yours for that window, and the vehicle waits between stops instead of disappearing back into traffic. There is no re-booking, no surge, no explaining your destination to a new stranger every twenty minutes. Your bags stay in the trunk, your coat stays on the seat, and the car is at the curb when you walk out. You are effectively renting time and attention, not mileage, and that changes what the car can do for you. Think of it less as a series of rides and more as a driver on retainer for the afternoon.
A day of meetings, handled
For business, as-directed service turns the car into a moving office. A chauffeur holds your schedule across Midtown and downtown, stages the car steps from each door, and absorbs the parking and the timing while you take calls or review notes between stops. If a meeting runs long, the car waits; if the agenda shifts, you just say so. This is the everyday engine behind our corporate transportation — the same discipline a roadshow demands, available to anyone whose day has more than one stop. Pair it with a morning airport pickup and the car simply stays with you afterward. The math is simple: three separate point-to-point trips with waiting in between almost always cost more, and stress more, than a single block of hours.
Shopping, errands and the unhurried afternoon
Not every hired day is about work. As-directed service is how people shop around the Upper East Side without carrying a thing — the chauffeur holds the bags and the car while you move between stores — or run a long list of errands across Brooklyn without losing an hour to parking. It is how visitors see the city at their own pace, and how a family handles a day of appointments in one calm loop. Most clients choose a Mercedes S-Class or E-Class for these days; when there are more people or more packages, the Cadillac Escalade or a Sprinter van makes room for everyone.
Standby service, on your terms
The quiet luxury of an hourly booking is standby. The car is simply there — outside the restaurant during a two-hour dinner, in front of the theater when the curtain falls, at the hotel when you decide it is time. For a wine tour or a day out of town, that same standby model turns the car into your basecamp: bags, coats and shopping all riding with you between stops, with never a locker or a lobby to track down. You are not watching an app or wondering whether a ride will show; the chauffeur you started the day with is the one who finishes it. For a group, that same continuity makes a night out effortless — one car, one chauffeur, from the first stop to the last. That continuity is why hourly service underpins so much of what we do, from a chauffeured day to an evening out to a wine-country tour upstate.
Hours are flexible. If the day runs longer than planned, extending is usually as easy as telling your chauffeur, subject to the schedule after you. Rates are set by the hour and agreed up front, with a sensible minimum, so you know the shape of the cost before the day begins — no meter, no surprises. We will confirm the minimum and the hourly rate up front so there is never a question about what the day will cost. Tolls and the waiting itself are built in, because waiting is the entire point of the service.
We run as-directed service throughout the five boroughs and across the tri-state, from a half-day in Manhattan to a full day that wanders out to the Hamptons and back. Half a day, a full day, a standing weekly booking — the structure bends to the day you actually have. The point is never the mileage; it is having a professional and a vehicle held for you, ready the instant you are. Tell us when to arrive and roughly what the day looks like, and we will hold a car and a chauffeur for it. Reserve an hourly car or call dispatch, and then just point — the driving is handled.
Hourly / As-Directed, answered.
Is there a minimum number of hours?+
Yes. As-directed bookings carry a sensible hourly minimum that varies with the vehicle and the day, and we confirm it up front when you reserve. Beyond the minimum you simply book the block of hours your day needs.
Does the car wait for me at each stop?+
That is the entire idea. The car and chauffeur stay with you throughout the booking, waiting outside each stop with your belongings in the vehicle, so you never re-hail or re-explain your destination. Waiting time is included in the hourly rate.
Can I extend if my day runs longer than planned?+
Usually, yes. Just let your chauffeur or dispatch know and we will extend the booking whenever the schedule after you allows. Because the rate is set by the hour, an extension is straightforward with no surprise pricing.
What can I use hourly as-directed service for?+
Almost anything with more than one stop — a day of business meetings, shopping and errands, city tours, medical appointments, a night out, or a wine-country trip. If your plans are fluid or multi-stop, hourly is more convenient and often better value than separate trips.
How is hourly pricing structured?+
You pay a flat rate per hour, agreed before the day begins, with a minimum number of hours. Tolls and waiting time are built in, and there is no meter and no surge. You will know the shape of the cost before your chauffeur arrives.
Can I change my itinerary during the day?+
Completely. That flexibility is why the service is called as-directed. Add stops, drop them, reorder them or change your mind entirely — your chauffeur adapts on the fly and handles the routing and parking around whatever you decide.
